The Brazilian centre-back Alex Rodrigo announced his retirement.
The 34-year-old back could play more a couple of years, however, knee injury kept him away. Alex Rodrigo admitted that decision had been made after talking to his family.
He managed to play in such top European clubs like Chelsea, PSG and Milan during his long career. He defended PSV colors in the Old World as well. He spent last season of his professional career just with the Rossoneri. Let us add, he was Milan main back in the championship 2015/2016.
Alex won the Dutch championship with PSV three times, became England champion with Chelsea, won the French championship with PSG over 12 years of appearances in Europe. There are two wins in the FA Cup, and several cups under the guidance of the Dutch and the French Football Federations on his account. In addition, Alex is the Champions League finalist in 2008.
The Brazilian played 18 games for the national team, as a part of Selecao he won the Copa America (2007).
