According to the Liverpool Echo, English midfielder Steven Gerrard made a decision about his retirement.
“After the recent media speculation, I can confirm my retirement from professional football. I had an incredible career, and I am grateful for every moment of my stay in the Liverpool, England and the Los Angeles Galaxy. I was fortunate to experience many incredible emotions. When I made my debut for the Liverpool in 1998, I could not imagine what would happen in the next 18 years. I am proud to have played more than 700 games for the Liverpool, for being its captain. I took efforts in winning of important trophies for Anfield, especially that famous night in Istanbul. Now I want to take the time for thinking, to decide on the existing offers. In the nearest future, it will become known, “- said Gerrard.
It’s to be reminded that the Los Angeles Galaxy was last club of the 36-year-old Englishman. From 1998 to 2015, Gerrard has been defending Liverpool colors. During his career, he is a two-time winner of the FA Cup, three times – League Cup, Champions League winner, UEFA Cup, UEFA Super Cup and English Super Cup.
